Casually surfing through movie channels last friday night, I hit on Star Movies. Rocky V was playing. Not being a very big fan of Sylvestor Stallone(Sly), I did not intend to watch the film in its entirety butsomehow I got hooked on to it.
I know what youmust bethinking. He calls himself a movie freak and hasn't seen even one installement of the incredible Rocky series. I agree. My apologies!!!
I alwaysthought Slyto be capable onlyof a Rambo.Boy, did he rock in Rocky V?!!!
Iguess I owe him an apology. Watching Sly play a "dim-witted good-hearted boxer" was electrifying, amazing and simply out of this world.
I was so heavily impressed and inspired by Stallone's performance that I bought Rocky I and Rocky II CD's yesterday and finished watching them last night.
Believe me, I "now" know why do they call it "the incredible Rocky series".
If you liked Cinderella Man, Jerry Maguire, Raging Bull etc, if you like survivor stories or if you are simply down and need an inspiration, this is the movie/series to watch.
