It finally took an Adam Sandler(Big Daddy, Anger Management, Mr Deeds, 50 First Dates) to give a violent shove to the cobwebs in my mind regarding KANK. Isn't he an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G actor? I rate him higher than Jim Carrey and Will Smith because :

  1. He does not rely "only" on making funny faces.
  2. His comedy oscillates between subtle, slapstick and downright vulgar.
  3. He is the only lead actor who can roam around in an entire film wearing three fourth's and shorts(50 First dates).
  4. And his dialogue delivery? Chooo chweeeet(ahem...as the the girls would say)!

In Click he plays Mathew something, an architect in his mid 30's(I cudn't help not remembering Keshav). He has loving parents, an extremely hot & unattainable(by his standards) wife(Kate Beckinsale) and two cute kids. Problem is - he also has a job. And he seems to be focussing more on that. He's slogging real hard wants become a partner in the boss'(David Hasselhoff) organization.

Major spoiler ahead!

One day he casually goes to a shopping store to buy a universal remote and presto - what he gets is a remote which can control his very own universe. He can do unbelievable things like lower his dog's volume when he is barking, fast foward his fights with his wife, even the lovemaking sessions LOL. Little does he realise that the remote has a history function which is taking note of each and every action and accustomizing the future as he wants.

And slowly slowly his life falls apart. His wife leaves him, his son grows fat, his daughter hates him. His father dies and he's not even there on his death bed. But he does achieve what he wants to. He becomes one of the top architects of the country. And he finally realizes life is not about work, success, rat race, reaching the pinnacle. Life is about F-A-M-I-L-Y. But by then its too late....or is it?

Its funny hollywood has been lately talking a lot about FAMILY and we in India, are talking about "a love which broke all relationships!"
